Happy St. Patricks Day - Wearing my Luck

I am told we Americans make a much bigger deal of St. Patricks Day then Ireland does and I can surely believe it. Leading up to this week I have been trying to put together looks with green. This one jewelry set is the one thing I have not taken offer. The lovely celtic knotwork with stylized shamrock comes in silver or gold and I can easily see myself wearing this all year long.

Taking a Tumble for Stumblebum

I love the look of Goth. Its actually more then a look, its a lifestyle. But I fear I will constantly be on the outside looking in. Still I try and with the help of this new Stumblebum Edition of a Dress by Munchflower Zaius of Nomine, I may have reached the point of at least looking passable.




I have opted not to hunt the grid for a "Gothic" setting. Rather I stayed lazy and took it in Nivaya and I's little bunny meadow. In the backround is the new Hearts Desire Tree by Botanical. This tree is scripted with options to drop its heart shaped leaves and has a little carved heart that you can write things in.



To accessorize my look, I pulled out a few things in my inventory that don't get worn often. The boots are by Nevermore, I have had them since I first joined and they STILL look amazing. She is doing her stuff online now and her boots and clothing can be found online at Sovereigncrux.com At only 125L the boots are an absoulte steal!

Rounding it off I grabbed one of the new Cupid skins from Gala a classic hair called Epona from Calico Creations and the Glazed Heart (color change) Necklace from Accessories by Eolande.

Just Jeans..

I have found lately my RL affinity for jeans has leaked into SL. So I have decided to put together a few looks around some of the jeans I have found in my inventory. This was not as easy as I thought since many of my fave jeans are from Last Call which is Sadly no more. I felt this unfair to my readers since they are no longer accessible. However, upon inspection and with asking around I have discovered quite a few new favorites to wear around the grid.







Its amazing how many different looks can be based around a pair of jeans, here I have chosen the new "Grunge Jeans" by .:Naive:. and Pair it with a cute tank top and jacket. Great for a cool date at a cafe with friends on a Sunday.



















For those of you that didn't know Malt have opened a new sim and along with Spork is having a Treasure Hunt. Each item you find is 50L but so worth it. I didn't even have to work to put this look together, Malt did it for me. Perfect for a dinner and movie date or with your girlfriends. Malt has 10 Items, some are complete outfits like this one and the hunt goes on till March 28, 2009
















I am trying to figure out how I managed to miss Spork with all the blog reading I do. I must have skipped it altogether. These Jeans weren't on the hunt but oh so worth it. I would totally wear this in RL. I was almost worried that the fedora would put it over the top, but Niv assured me I did good *grins* This is definitely for Saturday Night at the Dance clubs! Very V.I.P lounge. The top is one of the 5 Hunt Gifts that Spork has and well as
the bangles I am wearing.



















Last but not least we have the nerdy college student look. Simple Jeans and button up shirt with comfy clogs. Perfect for a night spent at the library studying for the dreaded mid-term. The Jeans by WoE and The top by *Diversity* are both items from the RFL fair.

The Romance of Giselle by Mer-Elf Creations

Sorry that I have no clever and catchy title. But maybe sometimes being to the point is a good thing.

Morgaine Price of Mer-Elf Creations sent me her newest release to review. She calls this Giselle and it includes tons of options, such as 3 corsets, 4 types of sleeves, a narrow and wide prim skirt as well as a wide prim skirt with a sheer overlay. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the great options given, but finally parred it down to 2 looks.

This first is the Gown with Corset, wide sheer skirt, and long sheer sleeve. Her skirts also have sitter scripts in them that can be reset or even turned off. The belt is separate from the gown and took some adjusting. Though Morgaine does include a couple of shape options in the pack as well.

With the detail of this gown I chose to use simple accessories and chose a delicate silver shell charm with matching pearl earrings.

Though there are so many great outerwear options, I think my favorite is the lingerie that lies beneath.

Morgaine has this pretty baby doll attachment in long and short. Or you can just wear it as a bra and pantie set with garters.



Giselle is 599L and comes in 9 lovely colors.
