M.O.C.K-ing Is Not a Bad Thing!

You have to love the tattoo layer. It opens up so many more avenues when it comes to skin and hair and more. I have been part of the M.O.C.K cosmetic group for a few months now. Mocksoup Graves does charge a small fee to join, but her generosity of gifts makes it more then worth it.

Today in Group Chat she mentioned that she has a couple of eyelash tattoos. In the 4 years in SL I have worn prim lashes, but adjusting them is so time consuming if you want to have a different lash look.

I immediately TP'd over to the store to check them out.

Currently she has 2 styles, Pandora and Victorina. Each has a Noir and one that you can tint. I have featured them on my Gala Skin (Yum- Sundust Light - Cranberry)

Here is the Before, I am wearing an alpha to hide my system lashes and you can see that there is a more natural looking lash on the skin itself.

A Trio of Random Outfits

So I have been lax. I have put together looks and maybe taken a couple of pics. Then when it comes time to blog..I get lazy. *hangs head in shame*

So today I am just going to show you a few items, mostly new that I would like to share with everyone!

First up are these Jeans by Designer Sanura Snowpaw of *Dreams*. I am a sucker for anything that has musical notes and the underpants layer of these jeans make awesome tights. Here I have put it together in a bit of an 80s look since my first chance to wear them was an 80s Event.


The Tunic top is from Elate! , Hair from Lamb, Pearls from SiSsi and shoes from 50 Flats. (Bangle are from Spork which is unfortunately no longer open).




Next up is the adorable dress from Surf and Co. It comes in an array of colors and the skirt is 3 pieces that moves very well when you walk.


Hair is by Grace by Truth, Skin is Cupid by Gala and though its smaller I am wearing the gold Mermaidia necklace by Eolande.



This next outfit is a purchase I made at the RFL Clothing Fair from , INDI Designs, it came with several pieces to choose from and I have to say the best fitting prim/sculpt skirt I have ever worn. (What little there was of it. *grins*).

A GRACE-FUL WEDDING

Oh Valentines Day, that special day dedicated to Love and Romance. You either love it or hate it.

I was one of those on the bitter side of it. I had a totally un-romantic,now ex, husband and I went on and on about how it was over commercialized piece of BS. Well I still think it IS over commercialized plus my Sweetie is loving and Romantic every day of the year. But its nice to give a card and a little token to commemorate the day.

One thing I have noticed is a lot of people either get engaged or married on Valentine's day. The wedding business in SL has been booming. Its the opportunity to have that big beautiful wedding with that dreamy dress that would cost $10,000 plus in real life.

Enter here is Grace Winnfield of Gracie's. I recognized the inspiration of her wedding gowns and IM'd her to talk about our love of a particular show. (Say Yes to the Dress)

We both commented on how a lot of women seem to gravitate towards these sparkly lingerie style bodice princess gowns. I mean it's REALLY popular! Here is her take on that. Though my preference is for simple and elegant. I love this neck ruffle and crystals. This gown comes with a veil, but I opted to use the flowers that came with the hair I am wearing.







Next is another RL inspired gown called Pure Princess



This one comes with several attachments. I will point out that I wore both spine and shoulder attachment for more fullness. This is a lot of prims worth of detail but the look is stunning.

The gown comes with a veil and flower attachement or just the flower as I have shown.

Gracie makes her skirts is various sizes for easy modification and usually includes different ranges of fullness too.

Winter is Russia

Rfyre has released a lovely new outfit in time for the Holidays called Oksana. The description on the notecard says it better then I ever can.

a Russian fairy tale of romance and beauty, ornately adorned with the embroidery of the most skilled craftswoman, embellished with the most decadent furs and leathers.




Oksana comes with a long and short skirt option, golden hat and patterned stockings. The textures are stunning and sumptuous




This will definitely be a favorite of mine when it comes to events and other special occasions.

Another new item to point out is the skin I am wearing. This just released item is by Gala Skins and is called, appropriately winter. With is beautiful eye make up, luscious lips and rosy cheeks its perfect for winter wear.

I have to admit when I first came across Multiple Personality Designs I went on a buying spree. A "Guilt-Free" buying spree, since most of her items are 1 to 3L and Fatpacks run about 5L! Plus she has several outfits that include shoes as well.

PIECES OF YOU- WANDERING OUBLIETTE

The welcome note to Oubliette begins like this...

Oubliette, known as a place of forgetting, (or the forgotten, as the case may be....) is a floating mass of mysterious things and nonesuch, to which there really is no point. Well, other than to confound its visitors, who sometimes come here with a purpose, and other times are merely floating about like lost luggage with the tide. Which are you? I wonder.... Above all things... Oubliette is a place to wander, to explore. It is an evolving space where one never quite knows what the tide waters will sweep in.




I have visited Oubliette on several occasions, but mostly never really went beyond Evie's Closet. This weeks started this awesome hunt that allows you to not only score some great items, but lets you explore one of the most gorgeous sims in SL.







When you Teleport in, you land at the beginning place of the Pieces of You Hunt.



You need to first join the group for 88L. Each chest you find cost 1L. The proceeds go to support the sim. Between the joining fees and the chests its about 100L.

Prized featured are from Evie's Closet, Balderdash, Frippery and Winx Home and Garden.

Be sure to grab the Oubliette Welcome Notecard. There are LM's for places of interest you will find very valuable.

Featured in these pictures is the Goth Aventine Gown from Evie's Closet and Strange as Angels Earrings and Necklace.

New Stuff, New Store, Fusemelon!

Aemilia Case of Philotic Energy has started a great new venture called Fusemelon. This location features hair, eyes, clothing, accessories and jewelry. Being a new store it only has a few items, but I know that this will change soon. Being a fan of Philotic Energy hair, I had to demo these new wigs and immediately purchased 2 of them. The hair color I am wearing is Mahogany.

TWO HEARTS is a cute messy updo. Great for casual or a red carpet event.







SEEKING ME has a cute beret that is color change on touch.





Aemilia gives a little bonus when it comes to demo-ing her colors. This is a cute free hair called TAKEN ALL. Her textures are different from what she was doing at Philotic Energy so I highly recommend trying on the different colors she has.







Last but not least are these eyes. I am wearing the Radiant Eyes in Black Current. She not only has the system eyes but prim eyes as well. This is great if you like the option of having 2 different colored eyes. The eyes also come in 3 sizes. Realistic, Medium and Large. I have the medium eyes on, but if you love anime you might find the large eyes perfect.



Aemilia has set out a special grand opening gift. This gift is placed in a green bag throughout the store. It has a great T-Shirt, Male and Female hair and bag.

Kellie Iwish of Elate has released this lovely new dress today! This dress has a lovely wrap around effect on the tops and great sequin/scale detail on the mini skirt. In The Spotlight: Mod.G

So Nivaya and Emee have set the bar with their features and now its my turn. In the Spotlight today we have Mod.G

Mod.G has a great blend of casual wear with a touch of Bohemian.



Modd. G has a great selection of dresses, tops and jackets as well as bottoms. She also has some great shoulder bags (not pictured) and has expanded into making eyes as well.

Her clothing appears to me to be photo-sourced, however, its very well done. I especially love the smocking detail that is featured on the blouses neckline and sleeves. (see below) The sculpty attachments do not have re-sizers but required very little modification for me.






If you are looking for casual outfit, or a nice dress to socialize with friends, Modd.G is definitely worth checking out.

So this past Saturday I saw a plurk for a party going on at MDR studios with a new lingerie release. This is how I discovered REASONABLE DESIRES.

This shop has a great variety of both modern and retro lingerie as well as some amazingly sexy costumes that aren't to over the top.
