Save Starlust! (or WoE is me)

So it looks like the Lovely Elikapeka Tiramisu has opened a new hair store called ElikaTira. Only a few styles out but its good to see she is back. She has a couple of lovely gifts and its still offering my favorite variety pack containing a couple shades each of red, brown, blonde, black and white. I am wearing one of the browns but tinted it a bit to get my preferred auburn shade.

Autumn in Florida is not very apparent. We don't have those lovely colored leaves. It just gets a bit cooler and drier. Still jeans, closed toed shoes and light sweaters are just the thing.

I encourage everyone to head over to Starlust. Several of the designers have stuff for sale to help keep the Starlust Motel Sim up and running. The Shirt I have was made by Ingenue and Comes in a 3 pack. There are also some great poses, outfits, jewelry and oddities to look at.

This time I have included Landmarks/SURL's to the shop. Just click on the shops name

Worn:
Hair: ElikaTira "Wish" in Brown 8 (tinted with some pink)
Skin: Gala as usual (June)
Top: Starlust Exclusive by Ingenue - Mon Petit (Leaf Peepers)
Sweater: WoE - Jenae Tie-Front Sweater in Cobalt
Jeans: Equilibrium Designs - (Calca)(03)(Azul)
Shoes: Shiny Things - Zimminy Flats in Faded Denim (Group Gift)

Not So Plain "Jane" and other things

So basically every single blogger from Dressing In Pixels all got hit with a severe case of RL. Now that things are a bit calmer, you will be seeing more from at least me. I figure easiest will be to feature a "look of the day".

Please Click on Picture to see Larger Version:

It seems Janie Marlowe has a new store called Jane. Lots of great basic. Plus she has been very generous by offering free tanks in a ton of colors and scarves to boot. I love the fit of the scarves so much I bought a few packs. I may have to feature a bit more later this week.

Per Nivaya, it is now autumn so we must dress a bit more warmly. So I have taken to wearing cardigans. This one is from Miseria.

Swimsuit Edition?

You might think that my avatar looks a little awkward in a swimsuit, and you'd be right in thinking that. Thing is, I never let her wear one! I never let me wear one, but that's for quite different reasons. Niv never gets to wear swimsuits because she's rarely in a swimsuit-needing scenario. Not the type to hang out on beaches, rarely part of the pool party and hottub set, although, I do have a particularly nice kiddie pool out where I keep my bunnies. But right now, it's hot here (by UK coastal standards...I'm sure most of the world would consider it fairly brisk for July) and while I'm flopping around in front of electric fans, drinking gallons of ice water, and spraying myself with overpriced aerosol cans of water, I figured I should let my avatar have an easier time of things, in this gorgeous new bikini from Adam n Eve. There is of course the slight issue of Niv's pale, pale skin to take into account, but fortunately, dweeb that I am, I keep a folder labelled "Summer Skins", for just this type of occasion, glowing and lightly golden, like I've taken a bath in self-tan, and rolled around in some bronzer to dry myself off. If only real life were so simple.

The skin I've picked out to wear today is my most recent "summer skin" acquisition, from I C COCO. When Persephone first saw me in it, she was startled at how much darker it was than my usual skins, but I couldn't resist how incredibly cute the face was, and the genuinely healthy-looking glow it had to it. I say the face was cute, but I must confess, I had to tweak my shape quite a lot to keep from looking rather goofy. But when it was done, it was worth it. The skin features full, innocent-looking lips, and delicate freckles over the nose, and I'm all about the freckles, as readers may have noticed. I'm also fond of the wispy, natural looking eyebrows, and the rosy cheeks. So it was the perfect compliment for my new bikini!
I've been on rather a yellow kick lately, so this Ringed Bikini in Lemon, from Adam n Eve was a buttery delight to me. The top is a sexy strapless bandeau, shaped at the centre with a white ring, and gathered to a straight clasp at the back. The shading on the folds is soft and immaculate. The bottoms are scanty little bikini bottoms, low cut and skimpy at the front, and high-cut and pleasantly butt-bearing at the back (the I C COCO skins have excellent butt shading, quite showoffable). For the shy/modest/slightly prudish amongst you, the Ringed Bikini also comes with this stylish little wrap. Sculpted and ever so slightly sheer, it drapes over the hips and helps one feel just a little less exposed, without straying into the realms of frumpy. Overall, a very elegant, but all the same, very sexy beach ensemble.
With it, I'm wearing silentsparrow's belladonna:lepidoptera tattoos, in bluesky, it must be an ADHD thing, but when I see a smooth canvas of pixelflesh, I have an overwhelming need to cover it in swirly patterns. And, it would seem, moths. It's for this reason that I'll probably never be a good housepainter. My adorable necklace is by Lazy Places, from the current Gatcha festival going on at Albero, I'm such a sucker for Gatcha thingies, my goodness. My hair is shiny and new from Magika, Sally, it's called, and I was drawn to its epic quiffiness. And the astute among you may have noticed that I am not wearing my usual Schadenfreude ears, but instead, SLink ears, which I don't wear nearly enough, they're really very lovely, and I am wearing now for reasons of laziness (one of the preset skintones for them is acceptably similar to this skin, likewise, the pretty feet!)

Adam n Eve's Ringed Bikini also comes in Pink, Blue, Green, Black and Purple, so even if you're one of those who refuses to acknowledge the existence of the colour yellow (and I know a few!) there's no excuse for not checking them out!

I'm a Little Bit Country...Day 1

...and I'm a little bit rock n roll. I'm actually a lot more rock n roll, I'm not very country at all, to be honest. Thing is, I don't really like the music. Sure, I like Dolly Parton's Jolene, and the music from Smokey and the Bandit, not to mention the smatterings of Alt. Country that hya plays on the silentsparrow radio stream on the silent sparrow sim, and Johnny Cash if he counts, but for the most part, no, just can't do it. On the plus side, I'm exceedingly fond of the accents and scenery of the southern US, I harbour a kitsch-fuelled desire to visit Dollywood, and I really, really, really like cowboy hats and boots.
I learned this for proper when Emee and I moved our herds of bunnies to a rather countrified sim, our parcel had a stonking great barn in the middle of it, and not much else. So, being me, I just had to decorate. Which posed a slight problem for me. Our previous bunnyhomes had been decorated in a meadow style, acres of wildflowers, lots of trees, that sort of thing. A barn though, that called for something different! Something more farmy. Given that the main store on the sim (Jody's Bunny Barn) is done up in, as the name would suggest, a barn style, with posters of country music and cowgirls and saddle stools and barrels and oh, just all sorts of country wonderment, there was my theme. I tarted our parcel up with wheatfields and squeaky windmills and dirt paths and picnic tables, all the fun of the farm! But this left me with a problem. I'm a great believer in dressing for one's surroundings, and my usual style just didn't cut it. Not at all. And so I threw on some cowboy boots that I happened to have languishing in my inventory. And then I remembered a hat that I had! Oh and jeans. So many jeans. And I discovered, I really liked that style of dress, especially with the sun shining and the fresh air coming through my window.
Of course, I'm British. I'm British and a city-dweller and a half-hearted goth, I have absolutely no business trying to be in the slightest bit authentic about any of this, which is a bonus, since it gives me leeway to be a little more "alt" than country in the whole business, but it makes me feel a little less out of place when I ride my horse over to Jody's Barn to see what she's got on the bidboards there. And so, I would like to proudly commence my series of "Little bit country" posts, which will go on for as long as I can be bothered.

Today's post contains a few bargains, a few oldies but goodies, and some shiny newness. We shall start, I think, with the old bargains! My hair/hat is historically one of my favourites, Ministry, from Gritty Kitty. Given that it's over three years old (in fact, my avatar is only a week or two older than it), and predates sculpties in Second Life, it holds up amazingly well. The all-prim construction of the hat itself is flawless, and the style itself is ageless simplicity, slightly messy, long straight hair, in a wide range of sleek textures. The best thing about this unisex hair? Nowadays, it's free! Or perhaps 1L. I just checked. Fatpack of colours, 0L! Can't say fairer than that.
Another oldie I'm wearing is the jodhpurs from silentsparrow's Nightmare suit, an elegant long-tailed riding outfit which comes in four shades of dark, and is coupled with Daymare, in light pastel shades. And right now, it can be yours for a mere 50L. Up until August 1st only. Everything in silentsparrow's not-so-secret sale area, (underneath the store, watch out for laser sharks) is marked down to 50L until then, at which point it will be ruthlessly culled and you'll have lost your chance at some of hya's most classic outfits at super bargain prices.
My layered top is part of the Buckley Lolita dress from Katat0nik, which unfortunately, if my wanderings around the store are anything to go by, it looks like isn't available anymore. Sorry for being a tease, get used to it, perhaps. Okay I took pity on you, it's listed on XStreet, here.

And so, onto the less-old! My boots are Schadenfreude's new Riga Kicks, sculpted greatness with amazing softly glossy textures, which come in at least a million colours. I am perhaps exaggerating, it is in fact 15, but in true Allegory style, the fatpack of the boots is colour-changeable by HUD. They come as a one-piece full boot, or a two piece shoe-and-upper combo, so you can wear the shoe part to peek out the bottom of pants. The part that fulls me with glee about them in particular is that Allegory has included invisiprim-free versions to be worn with 2.0 alpha layers, so they won't clash with any alphas you're standing on/in-front-of/in. Also, they make the bottom of your legs vanish, so you can float around all spookylike if you so desire. Cowboy boots, they ain't. Yummy boots, they so so are.
My lovely skin is from the new Cupcakes skin line, Dahlia. Longtime customer of Cupcakes as I am, the Dahlia skins I think are my favourite of theirs so far. the makeup I'm wearing here was part of their excellent 1000L Skin Club deal, which sadly is no longer available (hah!) but at the moment they have some fantastic deals in store on certain unnamed makeups in the Dahlia line, as well as others, for only 250L, which in my opinion is well worth checking out.
With all the strawberry madness that's been going on what with the current Strawberry Festival hunts going on on the Magic of Oz and Ozimals sims, and the Strawberry Elite bunnies, I havn't been able to bring myself to take of silentsparrow's beautiful Strawberry Vines tattoos, either. So here they are!

So when I'm checking out the new and beautiful bunnies on the bidboards in the friendly relaxed atmosphere of Jody's Bunny Barn, it's nice to know that I can do it in style, even if I am just a very, very little bit country.

Surviving the Holiday Heat

As you may know, July 4th is Independence Day in America. Picnics in the park, afternoon at the beach and spectacular fireworks in the evenings are just a few of the activities for this holiday weekend.

Hot summer weather doesn't mean you cannot be cool and fashionable. I found the ideal outfit for celebrating the 4th at Simay Design. Check out Panama, a stylish short ensemble. A strapless top tied provocatively between the breasts to allow the hot July sun to tan your shoulders.

Loose fitting shorts tied with a cloth belt made of matching material are perfect for a stroll down the beach or down the main street of fashionable boutiques. The texture is unique with an equestrian motif in black, orange and yellow/gold on a white background.

I loved the matching jewelry so much I decided to snatch up the tiered disk necklace and earrings in gold and orange. A floppy straw hat is the perfect topper with two matching material flowers off to the side. Bright orange flowered flat sandals finish off this summer style.

Enjoy Panama in the sun or in the shops.

KTQ Komfy Klothing

Sitting here at the keyboard in my pajamas (admit it, you do it too), I thought why not let my avatar dress in comfortable clothing.

So I decided to pull out my Hello Kitty pj's from KTQ Designs. What better way to relax in your Second Life home than in bright pink jammy bottoms with the classic Hello Kitty texture.

A simple white tank along with fuzzy white slippers complete that 'no one will see me' style we all love to wear at home.

Add a floppy and loose ponytail pinned back with bobby pins and you are
ready for quiet night in with a bowl of popcorn and movie.

Funny, because as I am writing this blog
I looked down and saw I am wearing the same outfit, except my slippers are blue. LOL

Save some popcorn for me!

Son!a's Sweet Summertime Dress

Everyone talks about finding the perfect little black dress. Well, I found that dress, and not just in black! Sonia28 Jie, owner and designer of Son!a Luxury Fashion is known grid wide for her extraordinary wedding and evening gowns. I am here to remind you Sonia28 has also created amazing casual clothing.

Nadja is a sweet and feminine short dress, perfect for summertime fun. The plunging halter top ties behind the neck with prim ribbons hanging down an exposed back. The midriff is covered by a high-waisted band of sheer lace, teasing the viewer with a bit skin.

The skirt gives the appearance of multiple layers; a straight skirt with a soft netting overlaying skirt trimmed with scalloped lace matching the midriff. Leaving no detail overlooked, Sonia28 Jie even added lace edges to the glitch pants under the skirt.

Nadja is available in two styles - a sweet polka dot, as seen in the black and the white dress photos and a gentle textured print, like the beige. Along with the beige, black and white colors seen here, Nadja is also available in a soft pink, dark red, aqua blue/green, silver, rose, hunter green and rich purple.

If you are anything like me, you will have a hard time choosing one color. Thank goodness Nadja is sold in fatpacks.

Etheria- When Jewelers Dream

I have been constantly amazed at the detail work jewelry designers in SL have accomplished. From June 13 to June 20th, many of these wonderful designers have collaborated with fantasy clothing designers to put forth a plethora of dreaminess.

Here are just a couple of examples of loveliness that can be found at the Etheria event.

First up is a collaboration with Dark Mouse and Lark called Fae Dress and Fae Jewelry. Both the dress in the Jewelry come in Silver, Gold or Copper. Lark give 2 skirt attachment options, so I decided to add a bit of fullness by wearing both. Also Dark Mouse gave both spine and chest attachment options with the necklace.

Next up we have a great collaboration with Evie's Closet and MONKEE we have the Lyric Dress with Wings and the Dreamers Jewelry. MONKEE provides bracelet and necklace with or without resizer scripts.

I have made these pictures larger and encourage you to click on them to see the full detail of the jewelry featured.

So if you are looking to add a few new pieces to your inventory, please take some time to visit ETHERIA - WHEN JEWELERS DREAM.

In For The Night

Table set for two. Candles burning softly. Romantic music playing in the background. Now all you need is an outfit to make his eyes pop out of their sockets. Well, here it is!

morea Decosta of Morea Style has brought us another stunning outfit. Savanah reminds me of the beautiful lounging sets of the 1940's movies when women dressed well just to relax around the house. The sleek, form-fitting body suit hugs every curve of your shape except one leg exposed from ankle to hip. Off-the-shoulder sleeves are draped with long flowing, lacy sleeves. morea even provided two different styles of sleeves to choose from. Matching flexi pant prims run from knee to ankle, giving the pants a soft and feminine appeal.

Don't want to stay in for the night? Not to worry, because Savanah changed from pants to elegant dress in a click of a mouse. Simply add the long, prim skirt and you are ready for a formal ball or an evening of dancing.

Mayur necklace, earrings and bracelet from Alienbear add to the elegance. Soul shoes from N-Core helps give your exposed leg that extra ooh-la-la!

Whether staying in for the evening or spending the night out on the town, Savanah is ready for both.

OUTFIT: Savanah from Morea Style Evening Collection
HAIR: Love Story in Twilight from Exile Hair
SKIN: Belle sk Smokey Rubies from Belleza
JEWELRY: Mayur set in Black from Alienbear Jewelry

A Trio of Random Outfits

So I have been lax. I have put together looks and maybe taken a couple of pics. Then when it comes time to blog..I get lazy. *hangs head in shame*

So today I am just going to show you a few items, mostly new that I would like to share with everyone!

First up are these Jeans by Designer Sanura Snowpaw of *Dreams*. I am a sucker for anything that has musical notes and the underpants layer of these jeans make awesome tights. Here I have put it together in a bit of an 80s look since my first chance to wear them was an 80s Event.

The Tunic top is from Elate! , Hair from Lamb, Pearls from SiSsi and shoes from 50 Flats. (Bangle are from Spork which is unfortunately no longer open).

Next up is the adorable dress from Surf and Co. It comes in an array of colors and the skirt is 3 pieces that moves very well when you walk.

Hair is by Grace by Truth, Skin is Cupid by Gala and though its smaller I am wearing the gold Mermaidia necklace by Eolande.

This next outfit is a purchase I made at the RFL Clothing Fair from , INDI Designs, it came with several pieces to choose from and I have to say the best fitting prim/sculpt skirt I have ever worn. (What little there was of it. *grins*).

Hair is from Deviant Kitties, Skin is from Gala, Boots by Indyra Originals.

If you would like any other details regarding the outfits above, feel free to IM me in-world I will be happy to send the landmarks your way!

See you soon!!

All the Fun of the Faire!

Alt Faire! Yummy! I've always tended to describe myself rather ambiguously as "alternative". Alternative to what, I don't know, but it's more of a cover-all term than say "goth" or "punk" or "ninja-pirate". "Alternative" pretty much says "normal? HUMBUG" and leaves it comfortably at that. And that's allll good with me.
And to that note - Yay! Alt Faire! Another big for-charity show, but one right up my street, hosted at the four corners of some of my favourite stores, and featuring some of my favourite designers, and a whole load more wonderful talent to boot. Of course, I'm boring an unoriginal and will be showing my usual suspects, but there's a vast array of quirky awesomeness to be found there.
I also like the charity that the Alt Faire benefits, Nothing But Nets. It's a simple concept, distributing mosquito nets in Africa, to help stop the spread of malaria. My own experiences with malaria are very light and British, mind you. My mother spent some childhood years living in Singapore, where mosquito nets were a necessity at the time, so she has all sorts of practical experience with the things. Also, in World War 2, my father's father was a pilot in the RAF, stationed in North Africa, but never saw combat, due to contracting malaria and having to be sent home. He was fine, of course, and my father was born which enabled me to be born, which allows you-the-reader to be sitting here reading my ramblings. The point is, thousands every day fall prey to the disease, and do not survive, but many of these deaths can be prevented with a simple mosquito net to keep the carriers of malaria away at night.
So it's all for a lovely cause! Yay!

As threatened, here is some silentsparrow! Exclusively for the Alt Faire, hya has made a special version of her stunning Mourna dress, named Mourn, only available in purple. Instead of the open-sided silk-like bustled skirt of Mourna, Mourn has a beautifully-moving full calf-length skirt, with a shock of purple lace forming the front and underskirt. Also, instead of having a halter-style top, it is sleeveless, with sexy straps across the back. In my scandallously skirtless pic, I am wearing the other exclusive from silentsparrow for the Alt Faire, the Ash Batty Knitty Sweater (five times fast, try it) and matching socks. My leopard-print tattoo is from silentsparrow's Melody Lee Fantasy Faire exclusive, but I have it on good authority there'll be more on the Fantasy Faire on this blog later. *nods*

The second of my oft-blogged favourites is Schadenfreude's exclusive, the Teal Skunk Electro-Cute dress. If you do not know about Allegory Malaprop's Electro-Cute line, what is wrong with you? Cutey-cute hand-drawn cuties, on all sorts of wearables, jewelery, shirts, DRESSES. And this one is a skunk with a pompadour. An adorable skunk with a pompadour. A SKUNK WITH A POMPADOUR PEOPLE! Why are you still reading this? Go buy it! A SKUNK WITH A POMPADOUR! I'll allow you to continue if you already have it, or promise to do so in the next hour. No excuses if you're a boy, she has manly 'beaters with it on them too. But if you get that, you miss out on the awesome black and white frilly sculpted skirt. And that's a tragedy.

Straying away from my usuals - I am simply just WILD for Mango, Mango!'s Doll skins, another Alt Faire exclusive. I've admired Sileny Noel's skins for a while now, but these, these are just love. they make me look like a cross between a silent film star and a porcelain doll. Simply adore the makeups, the bold eye colouring and the exaggerated cupid's bow of the lips. The one time I attempted to make a skin, the lips were in a similar style to these. Not as pretty, mind you, I'm kinda not very artistic, but the same general effect.
My boots are another Faire find, this time from Ducknipple. I have an ancient Space Invaders dress from that store from perhaps two years ago, and had forgotten all about them, so you can imagine how impressed I was when I found that they were still around and oh-so-good.

The Alt Faire runs from today until May 2nd, and can be found lurking across the four corners of the Nomine, New Kadath, Pulse and Snatch City sims. Do bear in mind that these are working sims, and be prepared for some lag, accordingly. Use common sense! And dig deep for Nothing But Nets

Walking the Boards at Sand Shack Surf Co.

So first and foremost my apologies to Sand Shack Surf Co designer, Emma Gilmour, as I told her I would have this feature last week as she kindly gave me the opportunity to review these shoes.

Summer is just around the corner and here in my area of Sunny Florida I am so ready to hit the beach. In the Summer the sand can get incredibly hot and if your feet are tender shoes are imperative.

Emma has created this cute little slip on shoe called the Boardwalker. It comes in 16 different fun colors and patterns!

I will admit I am very late in discovering Surf Co. But I am now a devoted fan. Some other new items include the Moana Bikini and Shack Shorts shown below. I was very impressed by the fit of the prims on the shack shorts.

Also new are her Belmar Jeans. When it comes to Pants I am a die hard fan of the prim leg attachment to give that finished look. Instead of prims Emma used the sock option to give the pants the lean supper skinny look. She gives the option of plain jeans or with a subtle polka dot.

I have again used the colorful Boardwalker shoe and one of her cute new Slouchy Thread Sweater in Violet floral.

So here is the deal! All clothing and shoes I am wearing can be found at Sand Shack Surf Co. Located in the Artilleri Sim. Be sure to check them out!

Here is your LIMO to Sand Shack Surf Co

Happy St. Patricks Day - Wearing my Luck

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.

I am told we Americans make a much bigger deal of St. Patricks Day then Ireland does and I can surely believe it. Leading up to this week I have been trying to put together looks with green. This one jewelry set is the one thing I have not taken offer. The lovely celtic knotwork with stylized shamrock comes in silver or gold and I can easily see myself wearing this all year long.

Be Sure to Click this link or on the picture to enlarge it. This is the best way to view the intricate detail of the work.

So I leave you with one of my favorite Irish Blessings.

May you always have
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!

Elated! Nyte and Day

Due to an attack of Real life, my chance for early shopping was limited so I only hit 2 of the RFL Clothing Fair Sims. I figure I can so at least a little a day to share my favorites. Hopefully there will be more shopping in my future.

My first outfit features this great Moitie Coat (RFL 2010 Edition) in a hot fuschia pink. I have paired it with the Kaia dress in Night by Elate and the Josephine Pump by Indyra Originals. Nyte N' Day can be found in the Melbourne Section. Elate! is located in the New Dehli sim. Stay tuned for more great Elate items I can't wait to show off.

I ended up using my skirt shape to get the perfect line with the coat. The prim fits very well with minimal editing for me.
The Kaia dress also comes in a wide range of colors with pretty and subtle striping.

The hair I am wearing is a new release from Exile called Majandra and the skin is one of the new Makeups from Gala in her Cupid 2 pack.

On Thin Ice

Last weeks a great event called Melt: An Installation on Thin Ice began. This even has brought together some great designers with very unique fashion offerings. This event runs till March 22, 2009.

This project is a study of translations. I presented 25 artists within Second Life with a concept of creating art with these words in mind: Drowning. Melting. Polar bears. Arctic. Culpability. Corporate greed. Inevitability. Extinction. ~Organizer Radio Signals

The polar bear feet have 2 selections, either normal or fashionista. Fashionista has painted claws. The dress Ethylene has a neat corset lacing up the back that ends with a fish hook and comes with several ruffly layers that can be worn alone or combined too.

The glacial build is a great sight to see as well. So take some time and visit Melt: An Installation on Thin Ice

Professional and chic for today's business woman

Have you ever seen a photo of a new release and say to yourself, 'I have got to have that!'? That was my reaction when I saw Celine, a new release from !Terra D'ombrA.

maizon Rayna, a gifted designer, has created a statement that the modern day business woman does not have the sacrifice style for practicality. Each of her creations has a life of its own.

Celine is a smart and sharp black tweed suit, with clean lines lines that flatter a woman. Fashionable, yet at the same timeless in its style and form. The standing V-shaped sculpted jacket collar and sculpted shoulders create a striking frame for the wearer's face. The tailored jacket is fitted at the waist, accentuating a woman's figure rather than hiding it. The jacket bottom ends with a slight flair and is fastened with a large single silver swirled button. Adding to the elegance, a simple white silk shell is all the top needed.

The A-line skirt, a business suit staple, has not been overlooked. A wide sculpted ruffle is offset to the side. It begins wide at the waist and tapers down to end just a little passed the skirt hem. This added prim give the skirt unique styling and flair that makes it stand out without being overpowering. This suit enhances the wearer's strength and confidence in herself and her abilities. If you have ever heard the term 'power suit', this is it for a woman.

maizon did not stop with the suit. She also includes a bold and daring hat in the matching tweed. A wisp of a black netting for a veil and and a flexi feather fashioned to the hat with a deco styled hatpin and a chic look to the suit. Also, earrings matching the suit button are included, making this a truly ready to wear ensemble.

All I added to this stylist suit was a small silver crocodile clutch from DeLa and Indyra Original's black Coquette Noir pumps.

In the executive boardroom or at the Paris fashion shows, you cannot help but be noticed in Celine from maizon Rayna at !Terra D'ombrA. A suit that would make Coco Chanel proud.

SPRING - if we blog it, it will come!

If I see one more flake of snow, I will most certainly scream! So, in the hopes that Spring will come soon, I am preparing my spring wardrobe.

And what better way to start then with a recent release from Phoenix Rising appropriately named Innocence.

Pictured here in white and green, Innocence is a sweet halter dress that dances in the wind like wildflowers.

The halter top has a dark
hunter green corset-style waist with a white and green floral patterned bra that ties behind the neck. The back is bared and very alluring, inviting the warmth of the sun or the caress of a lover's fingers.

The white skirt flows long and soft to the floor, ending with a wide bo
rder of light green flowers at the bottom. This dress floats as you move as if a gentle breeze stirs it.

Ideal for a picnic along a babbling brook or casual stroll in the park, Innocence will surely turn heads your way.

With Easter approaching, I
added the romantic touch of a hat. Lady Effie from Hatpins is reminiscent of the Easter Parades of the 1900's.

Reghan Straaf, an extremely talented
designer, specializes in quality hats. This shamrock green chapeau (also perfect for St. Patrick's Day) is adorned with green, black and white roses, light green ribbon edging, a black bow and black and green feather plumes.

Even under a hat, Exile hair stands out. Time and time again, Kavar Cleanslate creates hair
styles for women and men for all occasions. Here, a soft up sweep and gently curling tendrils beautifully accent the femininity of Innocence.

With a sweet smelling white and green rose corsage fastened around the wrist from Cazenove Creations and the rose adorning Melody shoes in white from B&G, I am ready to welcome spring with open arms.
