SPRING - if we blog it, it will come!

If I see one more flake of snow, I will most certainly scream! So, in the hopes that Spring will come soon, I am preparing my spring wardrobe.

And what better way to start then with a recent release from Phoenix Rising appropriately named Innocence.

Pictured here in white and green, Innocence is a sweet halter dress that dances in the wind like wildflowers.

The halter top has a dark hunter green corset-style waist with a white and green floral patterned bra that ties behind the neck. The back is bared and very alluring, inviting the warmth of the sun or the caress of a lover's fingers.

The white skirt flows long and soft to the floor, ending with a wide border of light green flowers at the bottom. This dress floats as you move as if a gentle breeze stirs it.

Ideal for a picnic along a babbling brook or casual stroll in the park, Innocence will surely turn heads your way.

With Easter approaching, I added the romantic touch of a hat. Lady Effie from Hatpins is reminiscent of the Easter Parades of the 1900's.

Reghan Straaf, an extremely talented designer, specializes in quality hats. This shamrock green chapeau (also perfect for St. Patrick's Day) is adorned with green, black and white roses, light green ribbon edging, a black bow and black and green feather plumes.

Even under a hat, Exile hair stands out. Time and time again, Kavar Cleanslate creates hair styles for women and men for all occasions. Here, a soft up sweep and gently curling tendrils beautifully accent the femininity of Innocence.

With a sweet smelling white and green rose corsage fastened around the wrist from Cazenove Creations and the rose adorning Melody shoes in white from B&G, I am ready to welcome spring with open arms.

A Tribute to Alexander McQueen

Many of you may or may not know the name Alexander McQueen. A brilliant British fashion designer, Alexander McQueen died last month at the age of 40. He won the British Designer of The Year award four times for his shocking and unconventional fashion statements.

As a tribute to his incredible creative and vibrant talent, 38 Second Life finest designers have created their own unique and striking designs to honor his memory. 100% of the proceeds from the sales from this collection are to be donated to the real life charity Keep A Child Alive, that provides life-saving treatment to children in Africa and India infected with the HIV/AIDS virus.

AVENUE, one of Second Life's premier modeling agencies, presented the collection on February 28th to the delight of the virtual world's fashionistas.

Celebrate Fat Tuesday in feathers!

Fat Tuesday! Mardi Gras! Carnivale! In other words, get wild and crazy!!! Four designers have let their imaginations run wild and created stunning outfits that will bedazzle and beguile everyone.

Amazing colors and fantastic plumage really make Queztal from Jador explode! ziamela Loon certainly knows how to design clothing that catches the eye and make others green with envy.

Reminiscent of the Las Vegas show spectaculars, this green feathered and red sequined creation will be the center of attention as you dance down the main street of New Orleans.

Big thanks to Anthony77777 Bandit of the Bandit Jewelry Shop for the use of his Princess Deluxe Diamond Shoes. If Manolo Blahnik and Harry Winston collaborated, they could still not create any shoes as amazing as these.


Burlesque comes alive in the remastered Bastille from Indyra Originals. Indyra Seigo has combined bold patterns and sexy styling together in this coquetish ensemble.

A fantastically fun flair was added with the pirate style hat with its white plumes. The lacy collar with a wonderful cameo broach and the prim cuffs with the gloves are the kind of details Indyra brings to her designs. Even the thigh high stocking include the matching design from the cuffs and bustle.

Bax black suede boots with a bit of white lace add the final touch to this show stopper.

Ready for center stage at Moulin Rouge, you can-can be in the spotlight wearing this seriously sexy outfit!

This fine feathered dress flies with an array of feathers from the tight strapless corset to the fanned and draping of the open bustled skirt. Feathers abound on the matching headdress, shimmering opera length gloves, choker and the playful garter.

If you would think this outfit is complete - surprise! Cabaret comes with three different styles of skirts, stockings and an additional hat.

6 Geese A Laying

On the Sixth Day of Christmas, Moxie sent to me, the 6 Geese a Laying Dress.

Layer, upon layer, upon layer of ruffles cascade down from the high waist to just above the knee. The texture of the ruffles unique, feather-like quality that would make the perfect nest. The satin, single shoulder bodice is trimmed with downy feathers. Wrist length gloves trimmed with the same feathers as the neckline and black stockings are perfect accents.

However, Moxie did not stop there. Remember, this dress is 6 Geese a Laying. Take a close look at this amazing hat! Nestled among the feathers, plumes and ribbons are six geese, including one that closely guards her nest of eggs.

Individually, the dress and the hat are incredible designs and a must for a Fashionista's wardrobe. No wild goose chase here. Fly to Moxie's store now!

4 Calling Birds

On the Fourth Day of Christmas, Moxie sent to me, a 4 Calling Birds Mask.

Moxie created four intricately worked wire and beaded Calling birds in this opulent half mask.

Thick and full black feathers fan out in a semi-circle around the mask. Downy black feathers can be seen around the edges and the multi-coloring of a bird's breast circle the eye opening. Finally, thin black velvet ribbons hang gently from the bottom.

Concerned about a proper fit? No need to worry, because Moxie incorporated a sizing script into the mask for easy fitting.


Moxie has several beautiful dresses in her store that are perfect to wear with this luscious mask. I chose her Black Swan dress to keep the theme of the mask and holiday. Incredibly sexy with its exposed leg, this dress is an actual black swan!

A black satin corset bodice is the swan's body, the waist partially covered in soft black feathers. The swan's neck wraps up and around the right breast, with the head enticingly nestled in the cleavage. A small feathered adornment attaches to the swan's neck. The half skirt is made entirely of black feathers that drape over the hip and almost down to the floor. Even the black satin gloves have a feathered design on them.

You will be the belle of the Masquerade Ball in this stunning mask and dress.

Springing Into Winter Fashion

It is time for me to stow away the shorts, tank tops and open-toed sandals and stock up on winter fashions. I stopped in at Bella Donna Couture last night just as the owner, EJ Barnes, was setting out her newest creation. Her Fireside sweater mini set in fawn is perfect for a busy day of errands or cuddling with that someone special in front of the fire.

The beige, cable knit sweater sports a stylish, sculpted cowl-like scrunchy collar that drapes around the neck perfectly. Sculpted cuffs are added to give the sleeves a slight flared look. Coffee colored mesh pantyhose have an amazing texture you can almost feel. The outfit is completed with an ecru colored leather belt that rests gently on the hips. Bella Donna‘s slouch-style Milano boots in beige makes this outfit not only fashionable, but fun as well. With red leather gloves from LeLutka and one of Baiastice's colorful hand bags, I am ready for anything.
